Web Frontend Software Engineer
Tingo is looking for miraculous Web Frontend Engineers to join our team and build the best hotel OTA experience ever. If you use the word truthy in every day conversation and can round the corners in IE7, we want you.
- You will be responsible for building and testing website features in their entirety from provided specs.
- You will write code in JSP, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, Backbone, CSS and LESS. You will test code with Jasmine and Watir.
- It would be helpful to be familiar with Java, Maven and MySQL, but if you’re not, it’s ok—we’ll teach you.
- Any experience with new fangled HTML5 technologies like canvas, animation and CSS3 is a bonus.
- You should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- If you can hack the Gibson, you’re in.
Backend Software Engineer
Tingo is looking for stellar Backend Software Engineers to join our team and build a solid, scalable backend. If you have strong opinions on the use of Calendar.getInstance() in multi-threaded applications, can explain why Bill Pugh’s singleton is the best, and can juggle a couple of left joins with an aggregate without breaking a sweat, we want you.
- You will be responsible for building and testing backend services in their entirety from provided specs.
- You will write multithreaded, high-performance, scalable code in Java. You will test code with JUnit. You will manage builds with Maven. You will write complex queries for MySQL.
- It would be helpful to be familiar with web development (HTML, JS, CSS etc), but if you’re not, that’s ok—we’ll teach you.
- Any experience with Graphite, StatsD, Hadoop or Memcache is a plus.
- You should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- A deep knowledge of Disney’s DuckTales is an immeasurable bonus.
Lead Software Engineer
Tingo is looking for a hungry Lead Software Engineer to join our team. If you can strip away unnecessary process, improve your team's code quality, all while still writing superior code yourself, we want you.
- You will be responsible for building new features in their entirety. You will coordinate with the product management team on features and schedules. You will manage your team, keeping them on task and producing high quality code.
- You will mentor junior team members, creating the skills in them that they need to eventually replace you, just like in Highlander.
- You will write code across our entire stack: JSP, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, Backbone, CSS, LESS, Java, Maven and MySQL. You will test code with Jasmine, Watir and JUnit.
- Any experience with HTML5 technologies, Graphite, StatsD, Hadoop, Memcache or iOS development is a plus.
- You should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
